The Strategy Consulting Graduate opportunity is available for unemployed graduates in South Africa. This internship will be based in Johannesburg.

Strategy Consulting Graduate Responsibilities
As an Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Conduct primary and secondary research on industry sectors, market trends, competition and customer needs, utilising a broad range of research techniques, including desktop research, industry interviews and consultation with PwC industry specialists
Perform strategic and financial analysis of the clients’ historical performance to develop insights regarding their competitive positioning and internal capabilities
Apply strategic frameworks and analytical tools to synthesize research findings and develop insights
Generate key hypotheses and identify data and analytical requirements for hypothesis testing
Define data collection approaches, gather and leverage required data, and reconcile ambiguous, conflicting and poor sources of data
Turn insights into practical and actionable recommendations addressing clients’ needs
Develop PowerPoint slides incorporating quantitative and qualitative analysis, charts and tables to unveil trends and illustrate findings and recommendations
Develop story lines in PowerPoint which answers the client’s questions/needs
Prepare client presentations and contribute to clients’ workshops
Active involvement in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen
Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
Ensure you are adhering to compliance matters
Work on developing internal relationships and your PwC brand

Strategy Consulting Graduate Prefered Skills
Business-level fluency in English
Work cross-functionally with PwC competencies in a seamless and cohesive manner
Be culturally and diversity aware and supportive of our South African and African contexts
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
Use appropriate methods of communication
Knowledge of strategic frameworks and analytical tools and experience in applying them to conduct market research and feasibility studies as well as developing strategy recommendations for clients
Excellent analytical skills and an ability to understand clients’ business issues
Take responsibility for delivery of high quality work both internally and externally
Demonstrate awareness of risk management practices and standards, and adhere to those as appropriate.

Strategy Consulting Graduate Qualifications
Honours or master’s degree from a leading university (preferred) in Engineering, Commerce, Mathematics and Science.
